I bought it mainly for cutting concrete and with a diamond turbo rim blade it has hogged through probably a mile of concrete with no problem. All with the blade buried a full 2 3/4" deep in the concrete full bore,no bogging down, no catching on rebar( you must use a turbo blade to cut reinforced concrete a segmented blasde could be dangerous if it hits rebar or wire wrong). Amazingly it still runs like new. The saw has been through everything from cutting brick/concrete to all sorts of woods. Framing custom homes requires quality equipment, and this saw has not let me down. The only complaint I have is the weight (15lbs.), but this is not too bad when compared to other worm drives. If you need a quality framing saw, please do not overlook the Makita. ...more
