Long enough for angled windshields (I have a Honda Fit which has a really angled windshield). Clips right in with no problems. If we wanted to see who was singing or change the station we pulled it out of its little space. This could be hazardous while driving. But now it hangs up and we are able to view it from driver side or passenger side. I have hung it high and adjusted it so it is not obstructing the driver.
